The Museum Association consists of four Sámi Museums and a Sámi Art Collection in West-Finnmark.

The Sámi Museum in Karasjok was established in 1972 as the first Sámi cultural institution in Norway. The museum has over 5,000 objects in the collections. This is the largest museum collection representing Sámi cultural history in Norway. The museum consists of a main building with exhibitions and magazines as well as an open-air museum.

Kokelv sea sámi museum consist of a genuine sea sámi farm, with a house, barn and outhouse, and has a view of the beach where we have a new big boathouse and one third of an old boathouse. This is where we keep our boat collection.

RiddoDuottarMuseat manages one of the world’s largest collections of dáidda (Sámi contemporary art)and dáiddaduodji (artistic heritage crafts) at Sámi Dáiddamagasiidna (Sámi Art Collections). Thedepartment is responsible for the stewardship of approximately 1600 works representing over 250 artists active from the 1800s to the present. The collection provides access to artworks across a wide range of mediums illuminating significant periods of Sámi art history. As an Indigenous-led institution, Sámi Dáiddamagasiidna advances the vision set by its founding Sámi artist and community leaders to expand capacity for intergenerational exchange of artistic and cultural knowledge.
