The exhibition<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">chronicles histories of appropriation of the S\u00e1mi drums \u2013 sacred belongings of the S\u00e1mi ritual specialists, called\u00a0<i>noaidi\u00a0<\/i>in North\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">S\u00e1mi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Join your virtual museum guide to explore the ongoing cultural significance of these sacred objects, taken away through histories of missionization and colonization, and reclaimed by contemporary communities to facilitate a process of healing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">To be released on May 21. It is a year-round programme of events and activities leading up to the UN World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development on 21st May.<\/p>\n<p>The Festival intends to spotlight efforts around the world to preserve and promote cultural diversity, especially through the cultural sector.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>About Khalili Foundation<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Over the past three decades, the Khalili Foundation has become a world leader in promoting intercultural relations.
